New Pineapple Partner
You may not have noticed but our organic dried pineapple has changed…it still tastes sweet, tangy and fresh but we’re now working with a new partner based in Kenya that is building something meaningful and shares many of our core values including working with smallholder farmers and championing women’s participation.
Vert Ltd works with over 5,000 farmers across Kenya and into Uganda to build an agricultural network that helps build capacity and provides training. They use modern facilities to preserve the natural goodness of this delicious pineapple which is some of the best we've ever tasted. They promote climate smart farming practices and invest in sustainable techniques to ensure the land remains fertile and productive for future generations. What's not to love? As ever our pineapple contains no added sugar or preservatives, just organic dried pineapple straight up. You'll find it for sale in local independent shops or here on our website. For the full month of March, get a free bag of our new pineapple on every order from our website over £75. Enjoy!

La Siembra and Equal Exchange Integrate
In a time when political divisions and economic uncertainty threaten to divide people, worker-owned cooperatives are choosing solidarity and cooperation.
The worker-owners of La Siembra Cooperative and the members of Equal Exchange Worker Cooperative have merged, creating a unique model of international worker cooperation. This integration follows the path set by global cooperative networks like Mondragon, which has led the way in cross-border worker ownership and democratic governance. It also builds on the 10-year MOU between the two cooperatives, which have shared a long-standing commercial and solidarity relationship as fair trade worker co-ops.
In Canada, La Siembra Inc. will continue to own and distribute the Camino brand, upholding the mission, vision, values, and quality that have guided the business and brand for over 25 years. As the first importers of certified cocoa and sugar in North America, Camino remains a pioneering Canadian brand, rooted in fair trade, worker ownership, and the social solidarity economy.
As global challenges call for cooperation, La Siembra Inc. and Equal Exchange stand united in their commitment to international solidarity, democratic governance, and economic justice. By fostering cooperation among cooperatives and embracing alternative trading models, we are demonstrating that cooperatives can thrive across borders, creating a more equitable future for people and the planet.

New: Bargains Page
Did you know that “Best Before” doesn’t mean “Use By”?
We’ve launched a new section on our webshop featuring products that are past their Best Before dates but are still perfectly safe to eat and enjoy. These dates are about quality, not safety, and many products remain just as delicious well beyond them.
By giving these items a second chance, we’re taking a small but meaningful step towards reducing unnecessary food waste. Every product rescued is one less item heading to landfill, and that’s something we can all feel good about.
As a thank you for helping us in this effort, these products are offered at reduced prices to reflect their past Best Before date. It’s a win-win! You save money, and together we reduce waste.
Quantities are limited and once they’re gone, they’re gone so it’s a great opportunity to stock up, try something new, and grab a bargain while making a positive impact.
