As the nights grow longer and we bundle up for the cold “Ber” months, Equal Exchange is excited to welcome back our much-loved Festive Coffee .. now in its third year.

This year, we’ve given the blend a delicious refresh, dialling up the richness with deeper notes of chocolate and toasted nuts, and just a hint of something… cosy. It’s a dark roast with real depth, the kind of coffee you want when wrapping your hands around a warm mug on a chilly morning.

Whether you’re after a winter pick-me-up or a thoughtful seasonal gift, this limited-edition coffee is one to savour again and again.

What’s in the Cup?

Our new Festive Blend is made with 100% Arabica beans, carefully sourced from three Fairtrade and organic-certified grower cooperatives across 3 continents:

• Ethiopia – The birthplace of coffee brings bold flavour and that signature fruity "oomph" to the blend.

• Nicaragua – Beans from SOPPEXCCA (a cooperative in Jinotega, where 60% of the country’s coffee is produced) offer a smooth, balanced base. Beyond coffee, this inspiring group invests in education, gender equality, youth empowerment and sustainability,  even running school programmes to train the next generation of eco-conscious farmers.

• Indonesia (Sumatra) – The Koperasi Pedagang Kopi (KOPEPI) Ketiara is a women-led cooperative of the Gayo Highlands in Sumatra, Indonesia. This Fairtrade coffee yields a strong earthy body with flavourful undertones. Indonesian bean processing is generally giling basah or wet-hulled which is a flavour-altering method, vastly different from other commonly used styles giving its unique taste.
